Axios Middle School (600)

“I am always doing that which I cannot do in order that I may learn how to do it.”
~ Pablo Picasso

Entering middle school can feel like stepping into a boxing ring without gloves, surrounded by a crowd chanting the opponent’s name. Without the proper equipment and training, the fighter feels defeated and ready to surrender before the match even begins.

At Axios, we understand the growing pains associated with making the transition from childhood into adolescence. We understand that when a student says she “can’t” do something, what she means is she needs someone in her corner. Our tutors are coaches and mentors; cheerleaders and fans. We help students build confidence in their problem-solving skills, and we empower them to succeed in the classroom by strengthening their reading, writing, and math skills.

6th & 7th GRADES:

Students who struggle in the subject areas often benefit from foundational support in the “Three R’s” (Reading, Writing and Arithmetic). Our tutors’ professional expertise ranges from punctuation to proofs and every discipline in between. We also offer enrichment opportunities for students interested in expanding the learning experience beyond the confines of the classroom.

8th GRADE:

This milestone year is dimmed only by the bright lights of high school on the horizon. With the help of our tutors, graduation from middle school need not be a time of trepidation. We prepare students for the rigors of ninth grade academics and help them build a smooth ramp to high school success. Our study skills is designed around helping students get organized and ready to handle high school.
